Paris Hilton's Suit Against Hallmark For Use Of "That's Hot" And Image On Greeting Card Can Go Forward

As discussed here by Reuters and here by the Associated Press, a three judge panel of the Ninth Circuit issued this opinion and began "We must decide whether California law allows a celebrity to sue a greeting card company for using her image and catchphrase in a birthday card without her permission." The Reuters article begins: "The celebrity and heiress Paris Hilton may pursue her lawsuit against Hallmark Cards over its use of her picture and catchphrase 'That's hot' on a greeting card, a federal appeals court ruled on Monday."

Thanks to How Appealing for the AP link and the link to the decision.
